NOTA

NOTA (1,4,7-triazacyclononane-triacetic acid) is a macrocyclic chelating agent commonly used for coordinating radiometals in diagnostic imaging probes. Its compact ring structure allows efficient complexation with metal ions such as gallium and copper isotopes. The resulting metal complexes exhibit high stability, making NOTA a reliable chelator for labeling biomolecules used in positron emission tomography (PET) and other molecular imaging techniques.

NOTA chelators are particularly suited for short-lived radionuclides due to their rapid radiolabeling kinetics and mild labeling conditions.
